Smart Health Global Australia (SHG) is pleased to announce the Digital Health Research Fellowship 2025, a unique opportunity for Master’s degree graduates and students in Public Health from Nepal to engage in impactful research and contribute to advancing digital health and telehealth in the region. This fellowship aims to empower emerging public health professionals, and early career researchers by offering mentorship, financial support, and academic guidance to foster innovative evidence-based research.
About the Fellowship
The Digital Health Research Fellowship 2025 is a four-month program designed to:
- Generate high-quality insights into Nepal’s digital health state, with comparative analyses involving SAARC nations and developed countries.
- Foster innovative research that informs public health policies and practices in the digital health and telehealth space.
- Equip fellows with the research skills needed to publish research in high-impact journals through personalized mentorship and training.
- Build capacity among future public health professionals to address critical healthcare challenges using digital tools.
Eligibility Criteria
- Recent graduate or Final Year Master’s degree in Public Health / Health Informatics / Digital Health or relevant subject from a recognized university.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in digital health, telehealth, or public health systems.
- Any previous scientific publication (e.g., journal articles or conference posters) will be considered an advantage.

- Fellowship Duration: 2 January 2025 – 1 May 2025

Selection Process
The SHG selection panel will thoroughly review all applications. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for further assessments and interviews. Final selection will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of the assessment, interview performance, academic qualifications, the quality of the research proposal, and prior research experience or publications.
