Bishwas is a Computer Engineer and an Erasmus Mundus scholar with 15 years of experience in developing digital solutions for various domains. His interest lies in solving real world problems using technology while keeping the users at the center of the solution. He has been pivotal in scaling two national-level digital health projects, showcasing a unique blend of technical acumen and strategic foresight in advancing health care technologies for the service of under-served communities. He has experience in developing digital interventions for various projects in Asia, Africa, Central and South America. He has frequently volunteered with organisations in different countries.

Bishwas holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Kathmandu University, and a joint Master of Science degree in Public Sector Innovation and eGovernance from KU Leuven (Belgium), University of Munster (Germany) and TalTech (Estonia) under the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship awarded by the European Union.

He believes health is a fundamental right and an equal approach in every quality health facility is mandatory for every human being. He is highly dedicated to global health community welfare. He is passionate about working for people who are financially backward. He has worked as a medical officer at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital for 1 year and currently serving as head incharge at Gaddachauki health desk Kanchanpur.

Yakindra is a Food Scientist, originally from Nepal, where he initiated his career as a Food Research Officer, serving the Government of Nepal for 13 years. He pursued his Master’s degree in Food Engineering at the Asian Institute of Technology, an experience that included time in Thailand and France. In 2013, Yakindra migrated to Australia to pursue a PhD in Food Science. His career spans over two decades, marked by significant contributions to research and development organisations, academia, FMCG, NFP, and government organisations with over 30 co-authored research articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. Holding a graduate diploma in environmental health practice, Yakindra is dedicated to enhancing the health, well-being, and quality of lives of people in Australia and around the globe.

Dr. Adhiakri has over 30 years of R&D experience at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) with over 100 research publications in peer-reviewed journals and owns 28 patents (H index 40, citation > 9900). He is one of the co-inventors of Elast-Eon TM and NovoSorb and Synthetic Heart Valve biomedical platform technologies and an inventor of sprayable biodegradable polymer technology (TranspiratiOnal). He is an Adjunct Associate Professor, STEM Hub, RMIT University, and is a Global Research director of the Emotional Well-being Institute, Geneva.

He serves on the Board of the Eastern Volunteer (ev), Victoria Multicultural Commission (VMC), and Ethnic Community Council of Victoria Emerging Community (EECV), Victoria.

Birendra is active, hardworking, and self-motivated with learning desires and patience who believe in running after excellence rather than success. He has always been enthusiastic about learning new ideas that can change the life of common people. He has completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with specialization in Finance from Pokhara University and is pursuing an MBA from the School of Management Tribhuvan University, Nepal. His personal goal is to make a difference in the health and economic status of poor communities.

Yamuna is a compassionate public health professional who believes health is a fundamental right of every human being. She possesses a strong interest in improving the health of the community by strengthening the community health system. Yamuna believes that the disparities in health care among the rural societies can be improved by delivering accessible, affordable, and equitable health care services using advanced health care technologies. She also believes that comprehensive issues in public health require a human-centred design approach to solve problems and design solutions tailored to individual needs. She has experience in implementing community health programs and working with different stakeholders.

Yamuna studied Master in Public Health from Central Queensland University, Australia and her interests include community engagement, working with cross-cultural communities, research, and digital health and innovation.

Dipika pursued a Master’s degree in Public Health, specializing in Public Health Service Management at Pokhara University in Nepal. Her fervent dedication to research and unwavering commitment to providing public health services have consistently propelled her to success. Her diligent, ambitious, and highly dedicated approach to her work has been a driving force in her achievements.

Akila is a dedicated professional with an extensive experience in both clinical and digital health. With an undergraduate degree in dentistry, Akila acquired valuable hands-on experience in patient care and gained a deep understanding of healthcare systems. Transitioning into the role of a medical content analyst, Akila excelled in simplifying complex medical information for diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and accessibility.

Currently pursuing a Master’s in Digital Health, Akila is at the forefront of exploring how innovative technologies can enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Combining a solid foundation in clinical practice with advanced digital health expertise, Akila is committed to driving meaningful advancements in health technology and improving healthcare systems.

Barsha Yogi is a Public Health graduate with over two years of hands-on experience in health data management. She is deeply committed to improving health systems through accuracy, collaboration, and innovation. Barsha specializes in analyzing health data and leading initiatives to enhance data quality, dedicated to delivering impactful results.

Ranju Mahato was born and raised in Madhesh Province and is currently residing in Lalitpur. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2024 from Tribhuvan University, and this role as a Project Assistant marks her first professional experience.

Self-motivated and disciplined, Ranju is always eager to upskill and learn new things whenever the opportunity arises. Her strengths include a strong work ethic and a readiness to embrace new challenges, while she acknowledges that overthinking can be a personal hurdle.

Ranju comes from a family of four; her father is a businessman, and her mother is a housewife. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, cooking, playing chess, gardening, and reading books.

Her long-term goal is to change perceptions about nursing by advancing in her career and working in a prominent position within the field.

Dr. Prajwol Shrestha is a committed psychiatrist dedicated to reducing mental health stigma and bridging the treatment gap in our communities. With a focus on Nepali society, he tirelessly advocates for education, accessible care, and a supportive environment for mental health issues.

His mission is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to receive the help they need, fostering understanding and support within the community. Driven by a passion for societal growth and improvement, Dr. Shrestha is determined to bring about meaningful change in the perception and treatment of mental health in Nepal.

Dr. Sandeep Gupta is a General Practitioner and Emergency Physician currently working at Gandaki Medical College and Teaching Hospital. He completed his MBBS from Nepal Medical College Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu University in 2006 and earned his MD in General Practice and Emergency Medicine from the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University in 2011.

With a special interest in Primary Health Care and the management of chronic diseases, Dr. Gupta is dedicated to providing holistic care to patients and enhancing rural healthcare facilities in Nepal. He has been a member of the General Practitioner Association of Nepal since 2011.

Dr. Gupta has valuable experience, having worked for three years at Lamjung District Hospital in Besishahar, Lamjung. For the past six years, he has also served as a health camp doctor in rural communities across Nepal. Additionally, he has published several research papers in national peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Ashok Adhikari is a dedicated medical graduate from UCMS-TUTH, Bhairahawa, currently serving as a Medical Officer at Gautam Buddha Community Heart Hospital. With a strong interest in cardiology, Dr. Adhikari is passionate about promoting equitable and patient-centered health care.

Recognizing the numerous challenges faced in delivering quality health services in Nepal—including geological, cultural, educational, and political barriers—Dr. Adhikari advocates for the integration of technology in the health sector. He believes that leveraging innovative solutions can bridge these gaps and help achieve health for all.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Adhikari volunteers as a Medical Officer in Digital Health at Smart Health Global, where he shares his expertise to uplift the health standards of marginalized rural communities. Dr. Aashish Neupane is a Medical Officer currently working in Dolakha, Nepal. His experience in the rural healthcare sector has given him a unique opportunity to serve individuals in need of medical care, making a meaningful impact in the community.

Dr. Abinash Kumar Sah grew up in the Terai flatlands and hills of Nepal, where he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by health professionals. Inspired by his father, a Health Assistant who led a Primary Health Care Center in rural Nepal, he became acutely aware of the struggles to meet patient needs and the lack of access to healthcare, education, and facilities in his community.

This early exposure to gaps in health infrastructure and the shortage of skilled workers motivated Dr. Sah to pursue a career in medicine. His aspiration to help the poor and underprivileged aligns perfectly with Smart Health Global’s mission, making it the ideal platform for achieving his goals.

Dr. Anil Kumar Sah is an MBBS graduate with extensive experience working in remote and underserved areas. He is joining Smart Health Global as a Medical Officer – Telehealth, aiming to help bridge the healthcare gap in hard-to-reach communities.

Dr. Ashmita Pandey is a medical graduate from Kathmandu Medical College. Dr. Bipin Subedi is a dedicated Medical Officer who graduated from Nepal Medical College in Kathmandu. As part of a two-year bond with the Ministry of Health, he has had the privilege of serving in remote and underprivileged areas of Nepal, including Baglung.

Dr. Subedi is a strong advocate for telemedicine, believing that it can significantly bridge the gap in access to healthcare, particularly for underserved communities. Dr. Dhiraj Kumar Das is a dedicated medical professional from Janaknandini-3, Dhunusha, with a passion for advancing healthcare. He completed his MBBS from Universal College of Medical Sciences in August 2021 and is ECFMG certified as of June 2024.

Dr. Das has gained valuable experience working as a medical officer at Tamghas Hospital in Gulmi and at the Health Services Office of Rukum West from October 2021 to October 2023. Currently, he is based in Kathmandu, continuing his work as a medical officer.

His expertise is further enhanced by his Training of Trainers (TOT) certification in the PEN PACKAGE and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Additionally, he is an AHA certified BLS and ACLS provider as of July 2024.
